May 27, 2023 our Miss Black Mississippi USA County and Local Queens painted the town in red, blue and white for their Contestant Workshop and evening activity with the Mississippi Braves. The ladies have the opportunity to take their professional headshots with The Perfect Shot Photography, learn makeup tips with Glow Beaute, Evening Gown Tips with Designer Aaron Micheal of Project Runway Season 19 and Stage Presence/Poise with Katelynn Brown. This workshop was designed to prepare the ladies at the midpoint of their pageant journey to the state pageant stage in September. We cannot wait to showcase the official headshots of our 12 Queens vying for the titles of Miss Black Mississippi USA Talented Teen, Miss Black Mississippi USA and Ms Black Mississippi USA.
The evening concluded with the Mississippi Braves against the Pensacola Blue Wahoos Game. The ladies had the opportunity to be special guest with the 2023 Miss Black Mississippi USA Queens. Ms Black Mississippi USA Torri Alexander and Tiny Miss Black Mississippi Emily Rooks were special guest as they threw the first pitch before an audience of 2,000 attendees. The ladies enjoyed an evening of networking and fun over a winning game with our Mississippi Braves Baseball team.
Details regarding how to purchase tickets to see the ladies compete on the campus of the University of Southern Mississippi will be available August 1, 2023, for Families and Friends of the Contestants.
